“Liga Exclusiva de Familia” in English translates as “Exclusive Blend of the Family”, and that is exactly what has now been made available to the public. Cesar and David Blanco have always had their favorites and particular preferences when it comes to the types of cigars they like to blend and smoke. Cesar prefers the rich and smooth creaminess of Connecticut Shade, while David leans toward the deeper more hardy profile of the Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro. This line from Blanco Cigars includes both Cesar and David’s personal blends. After many years, they have graciously agreed to share them in the hope that they can be enjoyed by all … Salud!
Both blends of the Liga Exclusiva de Familia derive their filler elements, as well as the binder from various regions of Nicaragua. For years, both Cesar and David have had an affinity towards the rich tobaccos’ that the volcanic soils of this land produce. Although the blends are entirely different the similarity that binds them is the unique Nicaraguan flavor and aroma. The wrappers however are a different story. Cesar prefers a U.S. Connecticut Shade seed grown in the famous Honduran region of the Talanga Valley, while David enjoys a Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro from Lancaster County. Both are exquisite and well balanced full-flavor cigars. However, the Connecticut Shade is medium in body whereas the Maduro is full body.
